Areas of Ongoing Personal Study

  • Production Financing
I possess a working knowledge of the Canadian television production process; I am in good standing and maintain good relationships with the principle funding agencies which finance television production within the region (Telefilm and NSFDC). I can assist your company in accessing financing through these or other agencies for television and new media projects.
  • Project Management
Whether you’re building a factory, producing a television show or setting up your office network the principles of good project management remain the same. Following the rational steps of good project management, more can be accomplished with less, problems can be identified and corrected long before they impact the projects budgets and more creative freedom can be applied at the various stages of a project.
  • Storytelling
When a story is told well, every listener undergoes the same experience. The teller takes them where he will, through joy, sadness, inspiration and enlightenment and by the end of the tale the hero has won his golden fleece. The principles of good storytelling are identifiable and controllable; and when used properly create a paradigm that draws the listener in to the teller’s message and transforms them in some subtle way. Whether it’s applied to sales, marketing, corporate strategy or simply applied for its own sake, the craft of storytelling is the most effective way into the human psyche.
